Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lowcountry has a new CEO, Keonta S. Ramsey, who comes to the position as a former BBBSL board member. As the new Chief Executive Officer, Ramsey explained what the organization does and their overall vision moving forward. With mentoring as the heart of the organization, she spoke of the mentors in her own life, and how she pays it forward by mentoring youth in our community. It costs BBBSL $3,600 per child per year, but Ramsey explained how well spent that money is and how they are currently assisting 175 children and what they need to grow that number. In addition to explaining what “Bigs” and “Littles” are in the organization, she provided details on their upcoming October 1st Open House, and their annual month of October “Big Raise” fundraiser and how those monies will impact BBBSL and our community.
