This July 4th, we celebrate 250 years since the founding of the country we call home. Yet, no 4th of July celebration is complete without a star-spangled fireworks show, so here are some local events happening around the Lowcountry!

Sailabrate America 250 – Hosted by Charleston’s premiere cruise fleet, SpiritLine Cruises, this event will be on board the Spirit of the Lowcountry featuring a BBQ buffet, scenic harbor views, patriotic tunes, and a perfect spit to watch the fireworks. Click here to book your tickets today!

Isle of Palms Fireworks at the Beach – This fireworks display takes place at the Front Beach area in Isle of Palms. All beachgoers must be off the beach by 6:30pm for firework preparation. Outside fireworks are prohibited. Click here to learn about parking and more.

City of North Charleston 4th of July Festival – Happening from 5pm to 9:30pm at Riverfront Park, this America 250 bash is the biggest in the Lowcountry. Admission and parking are free with chairs and blankets being allowed. Outside grills, fireworks, and sparklers are prohibited. The City of North Charleston 4th of July Festival features live music from DJs and bands, as well as food and beverage vendors on sight. Fireworks begin at 9pm. Click here to learn more.

Folly Beach July 4th Fireworks – Celebrate Independence Day at Folly Beach with a beautiful firework show. The event begins at 9pm, viewing will be available along the beach and through Center Street. The Town of Folly Beach asks guests to maintain the beach and clean up any and all trash. Fabulous Fourth in the Creek – Happening at the Daning Amphitheatre in Goose Creek from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. Parking is free but limited due to construction, guests can park at the Recreation Complex and event parking fields, or at the Westview Elementary school where a complimentary shuttle will be provided. Activities such as balloon animals, face painting, and crafts will be available for kids. No outside alcohol, tents, umbrellas and pets are allowed, with the exception of certified service animals. Town of Moncks Corner’s Independence Day Celebration – Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with the Town of Moncks Corner at The Event Field inside The Moncks Corner Regional Recreation Center on 418 East Main Street. The event takes place from 6pm to 10pm and features activities for the kids, a fireworks show, and more. Visit the Town of Moncks Corner’s website here.

Kiawah Island 4th of July Celebration – Starting off the night is a patriotic parade of bikes, skates, and rollerblades led by the Kiawah Island Recreational Department at 5:45pm at East Beach Village. The Independence Day Celebration at Nigh Heron Park happens immediately after from 6pm to 9pm and features live music, games, inflatables, attractions, crafts, and a watermelon eating contest, ending the night with a fireworks show.
