Every year the Charleston Running Club puts on the best premier running events all throughout the Lowcountry, and just one of these highlighted events is the annual James Island Connector Run. Participate in an 8K or 5K run or walk across the connector with the beautiful morning scenery of the Ashley River and historic downtown peninsula.

Across all race distances, runners and walkers will begin at 8:00AM on the Connector. Awards will be presented to the top 3 Male and Female participants; however, all runners and walkers will receive a medal. Registrants who sign up before August 24 will be able to receive a race tee shirt.

Runners and walkers will receive a race packet before the race begins with two packet pick-up times scheduled below:
Thursday, October 15, 2026 from 11 AM – 6 PM at Fleet Feet Mount Pleasant OR
Saturday October 17, 2026 from 6:30 a.m. – 7:50 a.m. at the race start (base of connector on James Island)

Proceeds from tickets help assist the Charleston Animal Society and the Ladies Enriching the Community nonprofit organization.
