Charleston County School District
Monday, June 8 – Friday, Aug. 7, 2020

The Charleston County School District (CCSD), Charleston County Public Library (CCPL), and the Lowcountry Food Bank have teamed up to provide children and teens under the age of 18 free meals throughout the summer. Monday, June 8 through Friday, August 7, students can pick up hot lunches at seven CCPL locations every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. They will also be given “take-home shelf stable lunches and breakfasts.” Locations and times are as follows:

  • John’s Island Regional Library (10:30-10:45 AM) – 3531 Maybank Hwy, Johns Island, SC 29455
  • Otranto Road Regional Library (10:30-10:45 AM) – 2261 Otranto Rd, Charleston, SC 29406
  • Dorchester Road Regional Library (11:10-11:25 AM) – 6325 Dorchester Rd, North Charleston, SC 29418
  • Hurd/St. Andrews Regional Library (11:15-11:30 AM) – 1735 N Woodmere Dr, Charleston, SC 29407
  • John L Dart Library (11:50 AM-12:05 PM) – 1067 King St, Charleston, SC 29403
  • Cooper River Memorial Library (12-12:15 PM) – 3503 Rivers Ave, North Charleston, SC 29405
  • Main Library (12:20-12:35 PM) – 68 Calhoun St, Charleston, SC 29401

Students can pick up “hearty snacks” every Monday, Tuesday and Friday between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM at the following locations:

  • Edisto Library – 1589 Highway 174, Edisto Island, SC 29438
  • McClellanville Library – 222 Baker Street McClellanville, SC 29458
  • St. Paul’s Hollywood Library5151 Town Council Rd, Hollywood, SC 29449

CCSD’s Seamless Summer Feeding program and LCFB’s Summer Meals program are providing the food.

City of North Charleston Summer Food Service Program
June 15 – Aug. 7, 2020
Served from 11 AM – 1 PM

The City of North Charleston is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to all children without charge.  Acceptance and participation requirements for the program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.  Meals will be provided at all sites as Grab and Go and Parent Meal Pick up Meals.
