We honor Local Black History Maker Dott Scott, first recipient of the NAACP’s Rupert T. Richardson National Award for Outstanding NAACP Branch President and named one of the “50 Most Influential People of Charleston” in 2017.

 

Harvey Bernard Gantt
We honor Black History Maker Harvey Bernard Gantt, the first black student to enroll in and graduate from Clemson University and first black mayor of Charlotte, NC.

 

Dr. Elizabeth Fordham
We honor Local Black History Maker Dr. Elizabeth Fordham, West Ashley High School, Spellman College and Loyola Medical School grad, now practicing as an O.B. physician at the new Roper Berkeley Hospital.

 

Michael Brown – North Charleston Councilman & Professional Musician
