Congresswoman Shirley Anita Chisholm
We honor Black History Maker Shirley Anita Chisholm, the first black woman elected to the U.S. Congress in 1968 and served for seven terms.
Dot Scott – NAACP President & National Award Recipient
We honor Local Black History Maker Dott Scott, first recipient of the NAACP’s Rupert T. Richardson National Award for Outstanding NAACP Branch President and named one of the “50 Most Influential People of Charleston” in 2017.

Dr. Elizabeth Fordham
